25 Ivan Vallejo heads for Dhaulajiri in Nepal
Ivan
Vallejo Ecuadorian climber and friend who is currently
on his quest to climb all the 8.000m peaks without
the use of supplementary oxygen has left for Nepal
to climb Dhaulagiri his 14th and last 8.000m peak!.
Ivan Vallejo was born in Ambato, Ecuador, on December
19, 1959. A natural born climber. Soon in his
climbing life summited the main andean peaks of
Ecuador, and gave up everything for the Himalayas.
He first summited Manaslu and Broad Peak, but
it was Everest that made him well known after
he became the first Ecuadorian to summit in 1999
? and without supplementary O2.
