Lenin Lopez

I started rock climbing 20 years ago and got into mountaineering 15 years ago. Both disciplines have come together in my professional life as a UIAGM/IFMGA mountain guide. I’ve had the opportunity to expand my vision and explore different terrains, climbing in Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Nepal, Greenland, and Alaska, as well as spending valuable time in the Front Range of Colorado, USA.
As a mountain guide, I believe in the importance of sharing experiences and aiming for that special kind of Fun Scale Types 1–2 — planning from home, designing trips adapted to different abilities and levels of knowledge, and always grounded in the key principles of moving together with safety and communication.
I look forward to sharing and learning together — and later, letting everything we’ve lived sink in. May today be the beginning of continuing to dream and believe that it’s never too late to start a new adventure.
I am currently training as a candidate for the UIAGM/IFMGA backcountry ski guide
