Marco is a keen runner and a qualified mountain guide. He has worked for the red cross of Ecuador as part of their rescue team. During the last 15 years he has guided more than 300 ascents of Cotopaxi and no less than 60 of Chimborazo. Happily married to Cecilia he is busy raising two children when he is not climbing. Marco is an ASEGUIM member. Marco led, in August 2011, the first ascent of Cotopaxi from the sea to 5.897 m in 5 days!. In 2017 he became a internationally certified (IFMGA) guide.
