He started to climb when he was eleven years old in Middle School, and became part of “San Gabriel mountain climbing club”. There, Ramiro discovered majestic places and solidarity as pure as brotherhood. For him, the “mountain” was an encounter with a social and natural environment, and also with himself. In 2006 he became a professional mountain guide when he joined the Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides, Aseguim, in Ecuador. In 2018 he obtained the international guiding certificate from the IFMGA. He also holds an updated WFR (Wilderness First Responder) certification. He loves guiding, it is a job that has given him a wider view of the culture, nature and diversity of each country through outdoor activities and he also combines it with photography and journalism, that are also his passions.
